About who needs care: 67 y/0 female with Alzheimer's. Mid to late stage. Very sweet. Needs bathing and dressing Mon - Fri. With hair wash tues and fri. No shower, just stand and wipe down. Ambulatory with stand by assist for safety. About the care needs: Someone Caucasian, husband is 84 and all I can say is im sorry to have to request that. Someone with patience, not because of patient, but because husband is going to want to show her how to do everything and boss the care taker around. But when he sees that she is in good hands, he will stop that. But it would need to be the same person consistently. Someone who can brush off his "ways" without getting offended. He has never had any help with her and it's hard for him to let go and let someone else. I would like3- 4 days a week. Mid morning. She sleeps in late daily. A 10-11 a.m. arrival to get her up and wash her down with 2 hair washes a week. Hair washing in kitchen at sink. She is afraid of the water in her face, so she doesn't take showers anymore. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
