Looking for care for my 78-year-old, military veteran dad who has undergone multiple GI surgeries due to colon cancer. He is fairly independent and the most loving, sweet, happy guy ever. He does have difficulties with bathing and his fine motor skills and dexterity are not what they used to be after 25 years of military service. We need assistance with bathing/self care a couple of days per week, medication prompting (insulin but able to do independently) and light meal prep. Dependability is a must! He has a colostomy and needs assistance in ostomy care. Also need individual to come daily for 1 week in September (09/06-09/14) due to family needs. About who needs care: Colostomy and has difficulty with self-care Services needed include: meal preparation, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
