Elder Companion

Hi! I am looking for someone to keep my mother (85 years old) company and take her on a few outings - the library, coffee, etc. She is very pleasant and friendly to be around. She is very independent -- but she does have some balance issues and has fallen in recent years. The falls have caused memory issues so assistance while walking and getting in/out of a car (for example) is very important. She lives in my basement - in an in law suite with her little dog, Beau. I am here most of the time, but have four kids and find it difficult to give her the engagement she deserves and needs! I am flexible with time and days. I would love to have someone 1-2 times a week (M-F) for a few hours ideally between 1-4. Outing to library, coffee shop, lunch... Mom is an artist. I am trying to get her back into her drawing and painting, but having little luck. I have been able to get her back into knitting. She enjoys the flowers in my garden. She just likes company these days -and getting out and about a bit.
