About who needs care: My brother has dementia and is 81 years old. I would need help with shaving him, giving him his showers, changing his depends when needed, helping him getting to the bathroom when needed, and just talking for company . His balance is getting bad, but he is using a walker and my help whenever he needs to go to the bathroom or whatever. He still feeds himself, I just cut his food up good. He mainly has to stay sitting watching tv because he is going downhill with his balance when walking. His memory is also declining. He has gotten in the stage where he sometimes doesn't make it to the bathroom on time and of course he doesn't realize he has any of these problems. About the care needs: A qualified person that has worked with Alzheimer's - dementia patients. I have taken care of my brother for over a year, and I know it takes lots of patience and kindness. He does live with my husband and me. I would like someone that has an outgoing personality, and a person who would take care of my brother like he was your brother. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
