I need care for my elderly parents. My dad is 86 and wheelchair bound. Needs help with transferring, bathing, dressing, most anything. He has some dementia which is worse in the evenings. He is deaf in one ear and wears a hearing aid in the other ear which helps some. Most of the time he is very compliant and cooperative. My mom is 82. She is his full time caregiver and sometimes gets overwhelmed with it. She gets around ok but is unstable on her feet. She has a cane and walker that she uses around the house. She loves to talk and visit. They need help with housekeeping, laundry, meals, medication, etc. My sister and I are usually available to take them to doctors and to grocery shop for them and check on them throughout the week. As far as hours go, they mostly need help mornings and evenings but if that schedule doesn't suit we are willing to be flexible with that. Doesn't have to be split shift, can be mornings OR afternoons and evenings. They are sweet people who just need help in day to day living and don't want to leave their home.
