Our hope is to have a caring and compassionate person to not just hear her talk but listen when she expresses her needs. Meal prepping and medication set up or reminders. Someone to play scrabble and socialize with her. Judy needs empowerment by staying close to assist if needed when walking to the restroom, assistance with 1 or 2 showers a week while maintaining her dignity, and on the off chance she has an accident assist with getting cleaned up without shaming her. Judy is amazing. From dedicating her life to medicine, building clinics and providing medical care in Nigeria and Liberia during the outbreak of civil war; she is the picture of female empowerment. Her world is getting smaller by the day and yet all Judy wants is to be treated with the same dignity and love you would hope to be shown if you or your mother were in need.
