I need a hands-on care provider experience for my intellectually disabled brother in his 50s who lives in Sandy Springs. We would prefer someone who has experience working with the intellectually disabled population, but if you are patient and compassionate, the experience isn't required. The primary duties include providing companionship and social interaction. The position will also include medication management, light housekeeping, prompting and help with grooming, grocery shopping and some meal preparation. We might ask you to take him to doctor appointments and run errands now and then. We ask that you handle transportation as needed. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and CPR / first-aid trained.
