About who needs care: Limited mobility Can walk Has 2 drop feet Used a can or walker Has use of hands but fingers are numb and hard to use nimbly Not stable on his feet Avid reader, loves travel, other cultures, learning & teaching, intellectual & is a good conversationalist (was a professor early in his career), has a large local family who are in and out all the time Get up, assistance with get ready in the morning & getting breakfast to the table (can totally eat, use the bathroom, shower, get dressed by himself) but has trouble getting his shoes on and putting things away, go for a walk around his cul de sac, exercises, takes classes, reads, has lunch dates, friends come over, likes to read, research stuff on the internet, naps, visits with family, watches sports, pretty normal grandfather guy - just getting older and his body doesn't want to cooperate About the care needs: Someone smart, intellectual, interesting, not shy but not loud & overbearing. Someone who is strong, active, patient, knows how to use a microwave and is humble enough/comfortable with menial chores (to actually help him).
