About who needs care: I am seeking someone to travel with me to Hollings Cancer Center, MUSC in Charleston, SC for some breast cancer diagnostic tests. We will travel in my car and I will drive. I will pay for travel expenses such as gas, lodging and meals. Companion will have private bedroom and bathroom. Appointments range between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on September 18th, 19th, 20th. We will travel there beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17th and travel back to Windemere Saturday September 21st beginning at 6:00 a.m. It is approximately a 6 hour drive. I am able to walk and handle all of my own affairs. I am 58 years old and have had some serious side effects from breast cancer treatments. I am not on any prescription medication and desire a travel companion who is not on any prescription medications. Non smoker. I am looking for a calm travel companion to accompany me on my trip and to multiple diagnostic tests. I am recovering from multiple infections to include sepsis and pneumonia earlier this year. I am neutropenic. I have compromised immune system. My companion will need to be agreeable to COVID testing and wearing a mask. Our day will include various appointments at Hollings Cancer Institute. We will eat dinner out. We will walk around downtown and on The Battery weather permitting. My hobbies include reading, coloring, puzzles, boardgames, cards, swimming , yoga, listening to music and walking in nature. We will be staying in downtown Charleston at one of my friends home. About the care needs: I am seeking a caregiver between 35 - 55 years of age that is healthy, calm, patient, no anxiety and enjoys travel, and the beach. Must be medication free and non smoker. I would like to be able to share puzzles, boardgames and card games as well as shopping. We will be staying within walking distance of several different types of restaurants to include seafood, steak, and vegan options. If my appointments, lab work and test results go well I would like to spend at least one morning and one afternoon sitting on the beach. I would need someone comfortable and strong enough to carry beach chairs, beach umbrella, a cooler, beach games, and etc. If it is too hot and humid, or if it rains, we may stroll the vendors inside the Exchange Market, or sit on the outdoor porches, drink hot tea and read.
