About who needs care: My mother is diagnosed with MS and has difficulty walking, standing and in the heat for extended periods of time. Mom enjoys gardening and music My father is diagnosed with diabetes and has recently had orthopedic surgery with limits his mobility. About the care needs: Whoever works with my parents should have patience, a sense of humor, and the ability to maintain boundaries. They should feel comfortable helping a couple who is fiercely independent and may state that they do not want help in tasks that do require some assistance. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
