Companion Care Needed For My Mother

About who needs care: - Diagnosed mid-stage Alzheimer's at 67 (2 yrs ago) that presents as short term forgetfulness, confusion, struggles with some typical day-to-day tasks such as cooking meals or using cell phone. However pretty self sufficient in bathing, using the restroom etc. does not drive. - Overall, she is a very pleasant person to be around and generally just needs a friend/helper to keep her on task and keep her busy. - Hobbies include: walks on beach (lives beachside), beginner crochette, tai chi, chair yoga, antiquing, painting About the care needs: She needs someone around her age that is a positive, helpful, active, self-starter, go-getter. Someone who appears more as a helpful and caring friend than anything. With the loss of her husband 2 years ago and recently relocating to Satellite Beach permanently shes feeling a bit lonely and out of place. I, her son Nick, play a very active roll in aiding her health and spend most days over there helping her/making her feel secure but I also manage my family of two under 5 yrs old and it gets a bit overwhelming. - Her interests include: walks on the beach (lives beachside), beginner crochette, tai chi, chair yoga, antiquing, watching movies, Mexican food Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
