In search for some additional care for my mom who was diagnosed with ALS two years ago. We are at the point where she can no longer shift from side to side during the night and will need assistance. This job will entail moving her when she calls, multiple times throughout the shift, and then assistance with getting her out of bed once she's woken up in the morning. When she calls in the night it's typically very easy - just move her knees / hips / etc. as she requests and possibly some light stretching. The morning wake up includes toileting, getting her into her wheelchair, and possibly helping with breakfast or other light housework (folding laundry, taking dog out to potty, etc.). We have specialized equipment to help with the lift from the bed to the chair.
