About who needs care: He is legally blind with some sight in his peripherals, but he is recovering from pneumonia and sepsis after a month in the hospital. He walks with a rollator and has strength to stand up, make short walks, and sit down, but he is unsteady and unbalanced at times and has experienced a few falls since being discharged. Primarily requires assistance when moving between locations in the house (bedroom, living room, and bathroom) until his core strength returns with physical therapy. Falling is the biggest concern. He will be home alone for a few hours per day while his wife goes to work. He is mentally active, loves conversation, and is incredibly kind (all the nurses loved him). He likes to take a walk to the mailbox and back once a day and do low-impact exercises in his chair until he takes a nap About the care needs: He gets along with everyone. Main requirement is the ability to prevent him from falling. This would be walking with him, holding him steady when necessary, and strength enough to catch him in the event of a fall. He is 6 foot 1. Services needed include: mobility assistance.
