About who needs care: She has quite severe Alzheimer's disease. She can do almost nothing by herself. She needs help bathing (she doesn't bathe anymore), dressing, toileting (she doesn't use toilet paper anymore except to hoard wads of it and stuff it down her pants). She tends to enjoy watching live musical performances. She has NO other hobbies or interests. She would most likely get the most benefit from talking with someone and sharing information about herself and her past, but she has reverted almost exclusively to speaking Vietnamese. About the care needs: Patient, friendly and outgoing, but not someone that dominates a conversation; a good listener. It would be great if the caregiver had a multitude of possibilities to engage the patient in an activity. That will be a struggle. The ability to speak Vietnamese would be a huge help. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
