About who needs care: Diagnosed with MS in 2022 and previously solely independent. Struggled with depression for some time after diagnosis. Doing better. I love all kinds of music, reading, writing, art, theatre, talking about current events (not politics or religion), coffee, jewelry, keeping up with what my nieces & nephews are into, scrolling (lol). I love people! I love animals. I I look forward to being in a place where I can rescue another cat (I lost my last one in early 2022). As you see, I can definitely carry on, so I would probably drive someone quiet crazy. Being discharged by insurance from rehab facility before completing therapy. Hoping to continue with home health to get back to more independence. About the care needs: Someone a bit outgoing, not too quiet or If drive them crazy. Currently I unfortunately cannot transfer and must be hoyered. I can clean and dress my upper body, needing help with the lower . So someone experienced with these disabilities would be best Open to helping mentally & physically readjust since it's been nearly eight months since I've been home. I will be working on having things in my condo repaired as I was in the process of having repairs done from a broken pipe in the unit above when I took my fall. These are not tasks for your aid, only looking for an understanding that there is some disarray that I need to take care of once home. 8 also hoping to make some other adjustments to the condo that will make it easy for me to complete more tasks if I still have to utilize a wheelchair part of the time. I can connect and relate to people of all ages with any background or experiences, but like I said, I would likely drive them crazy. A stronger personality would help push me l, but take charge when needed. Experienced would probably be best. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
