Parkinson's Disease Caregiver & Support Specialist

Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to assist with the care of our beloved mother, Adrienne, who has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and is in stage five. This is a supportive role to assist my father, Dan, in providing the best care possible for Adrienne. You will be working alongside in-home hospice to ensure that Adrienne's daily needs are met with the utmost dignity and respect. Responsibilities: Personal Care: Assist with feeding, dressing, bathing, and changing. Adrienne is immobile. Medication Management: Help with medication reminders, administration, and tracking. Companionship & Emotional Support: Provide companionship, engaging in light conversation and offering comfort to Adrienne. Light Housekeeping: Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment. Mobility Assistance: help repositioning Adrienne in her bed. Communication with Family: Work collaboratively with Dan who is the primary caregiver, to ensure seamless care and communication with the hospice team. Monitor Well-Being: Observe and report any changes in Adrienne's condition, providing updates to Dan and hospice staff as necessary. One cat, the house is kept clean by Dan. The cat is friendly but not too friendly and will hide under the bed or on the porch the majority of the day.
