About the job
My sister and I are looking for someone who can mainly be a companion for our mother in the long term facility she stays in. She has dementia, though is pretty cognitively aware. She loves when we read Nancy Drew aloud, and enjoys easy games like connect four, and uno. She loves flowers and kitties, and if you can talk on such things it is a bonus. She enjoyed puzzles but they are likely beyond her at this point. Mom would love to go to Walmart occasionally but that is not a requirement. Helping her walk around and get a little exercise is also helpful. Mainly just chatting with her and then keeping us in the loop on how she is doing. We are also there once a week, so you would be an additional set of eyes to take some of the strain off of us.
