About the job
We need help taking care of our high-functioning autistic son (Aspergers) in Brickell M-F 9-4, but hours are flexible. He lives in his own apartment in the same building as us, but is often alone. We need someone like a family member with cooking skills. He is semi-independent but can't take care of simple daily tasks like shopping, meal prep, finding a job, completing school work, and finding social engagement. He is alone most of the time due to his extreme anxiety. He enjoys socializing but is too anxious to reach out or put in effort. We are looking for a special person to help with life skills training, how to find a job, and finding social groups. We don't know exactly what we need, but someone reliable, intelligent, friendly, and outgoing. We would have to figure it out as we go.
