About who needs care: My mother is a two time hemorrhagic stroke survivor with rebel amyloid angiopathy. We tried to keep her as active as possible and work her memory. She is presently in her first night of rehab in a rehab hospital and we do not ever leave her alone. Someone stays with her in the evenings and someone stays with her during the days. We are not sure how long she will be in rehab, but presently we are sharing the responsibilities of caring her amongst the female family members. We know at some point we will all get weary and we need some relief. Once she is released from rehab, we will need assistance in caring for her at home. We are not sure what that looks like yet, but have begun the vetting process to lineup help. I have been her full-time caregiver since her first stroke October 3, 2021. She had another hemorrhagic stroke memorial day 2024. She fell New ears eve and broke her hip. About the care needs: Mother is a very accomplished pianist. It would be helpful, but not necessary if the caregiver was musically inclined. A Christian woman would be a plus. But if shes not a Christian be prepared to learn about our Jesus. She will need meals prepared and include her in that as much as possible. Mother loves flowers and plants and we encourage her to keep her watered and maintained. We also have a puzzle table in a puzzle going at all times and encourage her to do that. As a Christian, she also has morning devotions that she is encouraged Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
