About who needs care: He has dementia, P. A. D., Neuoropathy that caused a BTN amputation on the left leg. Right side is weak from massive stroke in 2013. His amputation was in May and isn't completely healed yet so he's on hold for getting a prosthetic. Our bathroom is too small for him to enter in a wheelchair and we don't have the equipment he would require to get in there anyway. I'm working on getting medicaid approval for long term care. But in the meantime I'm unable to lift him or help him in and out of the bed, let alone the car for Dr. s appts. So I need someone to change him, empty the urinal, bathe him. Maybe get him out of the house for a little bit in the wheel chair. He basically sits and watches tv and it was like that before the surgery. My concern is him being changed, kept clean and physical therapy continuing. About the care needs: He is 177lbs and 6'. His eyesight is going so he's no longer an avid reader. A guy would be best, preferably likes Nascar, football, maybe other sports. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
