About who needs care: My father is a brilliant and accomplished actuary. He's always been friendly and relaxed. He has been blind for the past 40 years. He has always been very capable, despite that. However, he has Alzheimer's and dementia, and has these new behaviors as a result: -He will ramble on, paying no heed to his audience -He will think someone is listening to him, even if he goes into another room and locks the door -He will misplace things, accuse other people of stealing them, and get very angry and start shouting and slamming doors With someone available to listen to him, he is his usual carefree and happy self. About the care needs: -Good listener -Patience -Dad loves music, literature, theater, math, science -iPhone knowledge -Encouraging him to do his physical therapy exercises Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
