About who needs care: My mother is starting to signs of memory loss. She is still walking but has difficult walking very far and seems to have balance issues. She isn't cooking for herself much anymore and has urinary incontinence. She could use some assistance with bathing herself well, getting in and out of shower/bath, laundry, Making sure she is showering and changing regularly and actually wearing her incontinence diapers. She might sometimes need help going to appointments. She is still doing most things for herself, but it is becoming obvious she shouldn't be. We are trying to get access to her accounts and bills because she is starting to lose track of them. She is still driving but is starting to get lost easily and beginning to have panic attacks, especially when confused. She is living with 2 of her adult sons, but one of them is disabled/mentally ill and is often more hindrance than help and we are trying to get guardianship for him so we can help him into an assisted living facility. The other one is busy with work and can only provide limited assistance. My mother is kind and generous, but can be stubborn and as her memory goes she is a bit more confrontational about doing things she doesn't want to do. About the care needs: Someone very patient but isn't afraid to strongarm her to bathe or eat or go to the doctors. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
