About the job
I've been paralyzed from the chest down since 1985. I've hired many attendants since then. My disability is physical only. No dementia or Alzheimer's. My wife and I are retired and like to laugh and enjoy life and typically become friends with my caregivers. As a result, people seem to enjoy working here and stay several years. I'm looking for morning help with showering, dressing, transfers, etc. I use a shower chair for showering. Powerchair the rest of the day. Morning routine takes about 2 hours, but if you're quicker, I pay the same. Also pay when we're on vacation. I typically hire two people, one for weekdays one for weekends, but I'm flexible. Weekends 8-10 a.m.
