About who needs care: Dad is 89 and has Alzheimers. He lives at home with wife Ruth 91. Daughter and son in law are Dad and Moms Primary live in careers. We are a Blended family. I take Dad every Friday and sometimes overnight back to our home in St Augustine. Sometimes we are out of town and cannot take Dad with us. We need to find an intermittent at home carer for Dad at his home in those times of need. Dad needs lots of reminders to use walker around the house so he doesn't fall. Reminders to use the bathroom, he uses pull ups. Watch him take his meds. Make a light lunch soup/ crackers. Companionship for the day, puzzles, reading, old country music, old movies westerns. Etc. Dad is pleasant, funny and sweet. About the care needs: Someone who is gentle and kind with experience in Alzheimers memory care. Services needed include: companionship.
