About the job
Seeking Alzheimer's support for my mother who is suffering early stages of the disease. She is still very independent, but needs help with the following: - Reviewing and setting calendar for the week - Engaging in memory enrichment activities that challenge her and strengthen her brain - Review / triage mail - Help prioritize and deconflict activities for the week. The ideal candidate will be someone familiar with Alzheimer's and/or a former teacher (with special education experience). In addition to the calendar / organization support, priority focus will be on mental enrichment / tutoring. Support will be 1-2 hours several times per week. The person requiring care is highly active and engaging. She does not require support with normal day to day (hygiene) tasks.
