About the job
I'm looking for hands-on care for my mother in her 80s who lives at an assisted living facility. THIS IS PART TIME 2-3 DAYS A WEEK The idea is to get her up and out of bed, washed, dressed, downstairs for lunch or take her to the salon for hair dressing. Also light housekeeping tasks around her unit. Make ice, wash dishes, change sheets, hang her clothes up. She is mobile but the disease has her staying in bed all the time unless I go and get her out. She challenges all the staff and they are limited on time and resources to do what I can get her to do. I'm looking for someone to provide companionship, motivation and be her daughter when I cannot be there. Schedule could be flexible weekly or fixed depending on the right candidate's preference. Ideally female, mid 50's, non-smoker, patient and willing to fib to get her to keep her moving.
