About who needs care: My mother has all of her faculties, but she has COPD / Congestive Heart Failure / Pulmonary fibrosis. She is fine when she does not exert herself. When she does exert, her oxygen levels drop. Need some cleaning assistance, we do have a Purewick system for her so cleanup in most cases should be minimal. Just in room cleanup ( shower like wipedown etc, helping her change clothes and the like). She will need help when she moves to her potty chair next to the bed for number 2 trips as her oxygen levels drop, the Purewick reduces/eliminates the need to transfer for number 1 trips thankfully.. She is on 6 to 10 litres of oxygen. I work from home, so I can assist some as well. Note that I am not sure on the days needed. Hospice will help likely 3 x a week, we need to help cover the other days. About the care needs: Someone kind and patient. Shes all there mentally, and is fun, shes just at a stage where she needs more help now after a very recent month long stay in the hospital. Skills should include some nursing level if possible. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
