About who needs care: Stroke in 2020 affecting right side. Had colon cancer two years ago and bounced back after surgery, a hip replacement last February and bounced back, but recently had a bout with trigeminal neuralgia which has made him weaker. He works with an occupational therapist and has a nurse during the day who works with him and helps with Meals and other tasks. We are hoping to find someone who can do a night shift from 7 p.m. till six or seven in the morning and help with showering. About the care needs: Dad can be a bit cantankerous, especially when he is afraid or feels pushed. He loves telling stories of his career, family, and marriage. He continues to do exercises several times a day and works on crossword puzzles and some video games. While he was a voracious reader in the past he does limited reading these days. He also works on his stock market profile with my brother daily. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
