About the job
About who needs care: Looking for someone who can join the team along with us to take care of our Dad whos memory is failing him. We are trying to keep him home in long neck DE , pot nets, for as long as we can. We have someone who comes by in the AM to help with meals and pills and gets him set up for the day. We are looking for someone in the dinner hours to help. We would like to be able to order meals to them which they could take by and heat for him to eat. Ideally, we would like to have someone as many days a week as possible for maybe 3-4 hours a day from maybe 4 or 5 until 8-9. Dad is still pretty easy at this point when he is comfortable with someone. Going on walks in the neighborhood or chatting on his porch/cards for a bit would really help keep him grounded day to day. He is suffering from early stage dementia and has trouble remembering things and people so we are really looking to try out coming by and getting familiar with our care team. We are flexible with the schedule as far as days goes and we have two sons within fairly close proximity that are currently sharing stop ins for dinner/evening that could really use some help.
