About who needs care: My Mom is 96 and broke her hip while sweeping steps. Previously she was fully mobile, drove, cleaned and managed her house, did laundry, prepared her own meals, did not need a cane or walker. She does not have major cognitive issues other than forgetfulness. She loves to talk and is a bit hard of hearing. She usually wakes up between 9:00 - 9:30 a.m. I have her situated on the bottom floor of her house with a hospital bed and access to a half bath. She's recovering well and can walk with a walker to the bathroom, but needs help with bathing (sponge bath), dressing, meal prep (simple stuff, oatmeal, sandwiches, pasta, chicken), medication prompting, reminders to do exercises provided by PT, and walk. About the care needs: Social, upbeat personality preferred. Hobbies are gardening, and shopping.
