About who needs care: Has vascular dementia. Need help with all adls. Can get self out of bed and chair walks with walker. Requires companionship. Frequent need for reorientation( ( asks where am I? Where do I live etc) Likes to watch tv naps a lot. Requires meal prep assistance with bathing dressing. Colostomy emptying . Requires giving oral meds with breakfast and dinner About the care needs: Requires a caring , friendly, patient personality Previous experience working with elderly with dementia Previous work with colostomy care helpful but can teach Lots of down time for worker to read or study when he is napping Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
