About who needs care: Dad has advanced Parkinson's disease and mild dementia. He is very sweet, quiet and usually upbeat. He has limited mobility but likes to do a easy project such as painting. Dad is a routine person. He has a basic routine that he sticks to most days. About the care needs: The caregiver will need to be a patient person. Although dad is easy going and kind, everything task takes him a very long time. He or she should also have hobbies that they can do while caring for dad because there will be a lot of downtime. Ideally, we would like someone who can work 2 or 3 8 hr days a week which can change... we can be flexible. During the summer we don't need as much help. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
