About the job
Hello! We are looking for companion assistance for our sweet elderly mother - age 78. She has a low tolerance for pain and is showing signs of forgetfulness (NOT YET diagnosed with dementia). We need a compassionate caregiver who has extensive experience with elders and who has LOTS of patience! Need help with: Medication management - she is a diabetic, so we need someone who can help to make sure she's taking her insulin and her medication on time. Bathing: as with many seniors, it's difficult for her to manage her shower routine in a vintage 1950s style bathroom. Until we can renovate to suit her needs, she needs assistance. Also need: some light tidying up, help with meal prep and patience with a picky eater! Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and CPR / first-aid trained.
