About who needs care: I'm a PHD academic; great conversationalist and generally cheerful when not in pain. About the care needs: In early April I'll be having lower back surgery; I'll need post-op care at home for a week or two following back surgery; perhasp 2-3 hours/day? The ideal candidate will be possess a cheerful personality, will be talkative and outgoing. They will be a great motivator, will be patient, will be discreet and confidential. They will be able to overlook the personality distortions induced by post-op pain. While not necessarily a physical therapist, they will possess an awareness of physical therapy goals and how these intersect with typical patient psychology. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
