About the job
About who needs care: mom and dad, 92. dad can't hear well. He is smart and funny. He has an ostomy bag which my mother changes. He's frail but gets around with a cane. He reads, writes little essays, enjoys socializing if his hearing aids work. He is very talkative and likes meeting new people. He watches sports and old movies, fixes his own meals. He recently recovered from kidney surgery and is doing well. His eyesight isn't good any more so driving is less and less possible but he can do it. Mom can only drive short distances or becomes lost. They both really need help getting to and from medical appointments safely. I can help sometimes (and a neighbor has offered), but when that's not possible we need backup: safe, reliable rides 1-4 times a month. It would be great to have a regular person.
