About who needs care: My dad has advanced decompensated liver disease and has qualified for hospice care. He is interested in continuing his medication which causes frequent trips to the bathroom which he requires assistance with. He loves golf and baseball, his family and his grand dogs. Night care is the most important when he is tired and most weak. The better his nights go, the better his day routine goes with the continuation of medication. About the care needs: Someone who is kind but will not speak to him like he's a child. He responds better to speaking to people, adult to adult. He needs clear communication when required to move, ie, "pick up your right foot" or" step to the left", etc. He weighs about 175 lbs and we need help lifting and moving him. He loves to read and it might be great to have someone to read to him. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
