About who needs care: Getting up, dressed, getting clothes she chooses, visiting, do puzzles with her, snacks. Just gave up her house in Iowa to come live with son and daughter in law. She is sharp, has trouble hearing, so have to talk loud. Person doing care needs to be very patient. Uses a walker for mobility.. About the care needs: Positive, confident and someone who doesn't personalize her frustration with aging. Communicate in respectful manner, not directive but using suggestions and a lot of patience. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
