Hands-on Care Needed For My Father In Englewood

About who needs care: Client has potential dementia onset through extended alcohol use. Client may also have an undiagnosed TBI. Client has memory issues that seem to exacerbate in the evening hours especially when the rest of the house is sleeping. Client is currently staying at a sober home within a recovery community and has shown improvement in cognition but there is still concern. About the care needs: Ideally we are looking for a male caregiver as our program is men only. We are not opposed to a female caregiver but we are just taking into consideration that there will be care provided in a house with men. Our only staff member in the house who is a female is our chef and she leaves by 5 p.m. Someone who is able to laugh and is understanding of the recovery/addiction world. Someone who is familiar with treatment settings. Someone who will communicate with clinical staff to ensure our client is given the proper feedback from their primary therapist and case manager who will be overseeing the clients overall care. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
