About the job
We need hands-on care to take care of my husband in Denver. He has suffered from several strokes in 2021 and is still recovering. He cannot stand, walk or speak without assistance. Help needed with bathing. Please have experience assisting with feeding. We're looking for some help preparing meals. Duties include providing companionship and social interaction. Duties include transportation (doctor's appointments, errands, physical therapy, etc.). Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker, comfortable with pets and CPR / first-aid trained. Must be able to transfer 160 pound man - you will have help with equipment and a second caregiver. Six people currently work in shifts to provide care seven days/week, so there is room for some flexibility in schedule. Additional skills in bookkeeping (filing, taxes) a plus.
