About the job
I'm looking for hands-on care for my medically fragile 72 yo husband. He is paralyzed, incontinent, & has ALS. Respond only if you have been trained & are experienced w/Hoyer & ALS patients. Personal care, feeding, repositioning, stretching & transfers are among the components of job. Prefer someone with physical strength, low-key, and quiet so we can go about our day, (to the extent possible) as we would have, before he became ill. We have a dog who can be feisty if someone he doesn't know moves in an aggressive manner towards his wheelchair. If you are afraid/inexperienced w/ dogs, this isn't for you. He's sweet & friendly once he trusts you. PLEASE don't respond w/ cut & paste messages that do not directly address the qualifications he requires. We got dozens of apps who were not remotely qualified. Thank you very much!
