I'm looking for hands-on care for my medically fragile 72 yo husband. He is paralyzed, incontinent, & has ALS. Please respond only if you have been trained & are experienced using a Hoyer & have worked with ALS patients. Meds, personal care, feeding, repositioning, controlling wheelchair and safe transfers w/a Hoyer are among the many components of job. Prefer someone with physical strength, low-key, and quiet personality so we can go about our day, (to the extent possible) as we would have, before he became ill, about 2 years ago. We might ask you to run an errand. We'll provide food but you will feed him. We have a dog who can be feisty if someone he doesn't know moves in an aggressive manner towards his wheelchair. If you are afraid/inexperienced w/ dogs, this isn't for you. He's sweet & friendly once he trusts you. Thanks!
