About the job
Seeking experienced live-in (3 nights/wk) caregiver to assist my husband . He has ALS & uses a wheelchair. Personal care required includes meals, dressing, toileting, bathing, helping him stretch for 10 minutes, AM and PM, . We want his hygiene safety & comfort to be your Priority 1. You must be able to reposition him (150 lbs) every 3 hours to avoid pressure sores. We will ask you to run errands when required; housekeeping & laundry are done each day. Strong pref for caregiver who has experience with ALS patients, proficient w/Hoyer and CPR / first-aid trained. Must like dogs. will need help with showers 3x a week 9there is another caregiver from 7 a.m. Mondays until she finishes at 7 a.m. each Friday. Some light tidying up is involved. Some help needed with bathing.
