About the job
My husband, Rick, has Posterior Cortical Atrophy (PCA) Dementia. Needs help with bathing, dressing, working out, short hikes, companionship. No special skills needed. I no longer feel comfortable leaving Rick home alone due to his PCA diagnosis (visual-spatial impairment). We are looking for a live-in helper to provide companionship (to include walking with Rick in the neighborhood and on trails), help with a few activities of daily living (ADLs) and other help as needed so I can get a few breaks and feel that he is safe at home since he would not be alone. Help would be part-time. We live in Colorado Springs. Walk to restaurants, shops, etc. It is a separate living area, downstairs from the main level, with a separate entryway, kitchenette, bathroom, bedroom. See my profile for more details.
