About who needs care: My mother in-law's name is Martha but goes by her middle name Jane. She has unspecified dementia. She does forget things you have told her and may need to be told or reminded multiple times. She doesn't need much help with her ADL's. She can dress herself, she knows when she needs to use the restroom and does not require any help or assistance with the bathroom. Light assistance with showing just to make sure she doesn't fall but other than that she can bath herself. She does need full help with her medications. Someone would need to be able to check her blood sugars, and based upon her blood glucose level if it was high they would need to be able to calculate how much insulin to give at that time, if it was low need to know what to do based upon that blood glucose reading. It would be helpful if she could have someone help with meal preparation and reminders. Companionship is something that would help her with her anxiety and forgetfulness. About the care needs: Someone who can be patient, helpful, not to talkative. Someone who is good at encouraging Jane to do things she may not want to out doesn't like. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
