About who needs care: My wife is a 65-year-old in home hospice. I work from home and simply need help with my wife on my busiest days, but I will be in the home when the caregiver is present. She is bedridden, only getting out of bed to use the bathroom. She needs help getting out of bed , getting into the bathroom, help in the bathroom, and then getting back to bed. Other tasks would include getting drinks and snacks for her and keeping her company. About the care needs: Needs some experience helping a disabled person with bathroom use, take meds on time, and bring lunch to her, keeping her comfortable. Does not need to be able to lift my wife, but must be strong enough to help her sit up, stand up, and steady her when taking the few steps from bed to the bathroom. Someone who enjoys watching , TV, etc. or an occasional contemporary movie. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
