About who needs care: George lives independently but (mostly) needs companionship to keep him company a couple of hours in the morning and/or a couple of hours in the evening. He also needs someone to throw away his commode bag (he uses a bedroom commode at nighttime) and tidy his bathroom every day. He needs to be reminded to do his daily exercises and to take his medications. He also needs supervision when he transitions in and out of the shower. Otherwise, he loves it when others read to him, and he likes company on his 30-minute walks every day. About the care needs: It helps if the caregiver likes to read aloud (his eyesight is poor). Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
