About who needs care: My mom is aging and has health complications caused by her liver cirrhosis, including some confusion and swelling. Her eyeight is also not great. She needs help remembering to take her pills, and assistance getting around. She would like to maintain as much independence and dignity as possible, but needs some help to be safe. For example, some help getting into the shower and being nearby for safety but letting her wash herself. She recently had a hospital stay with some extended time in bed and needs to build back up her strength. About the care needs: We are looking for someone that can help take some of the load off of my sister, who my mom lives with. Help with light cleaning, meal prep, running errands, getting my mom out of bed and giving her some social interaction. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
