I'm looking for hands-on care for my mother in her 70s. She had a stroke 7 years ago and lost some mobility on her right side. Normally she walks with a cane and has limited use of her right arm and hand. She is having rotator cuff surgery on her left shoulder (her good side) so she needs help walking / moving safely so she doesn't fall. This may require a wheelchair or safely guiding her from place to place. Initially the assumed responsibilities will be at night to help with bathing, getting changed, and helping her get up in the night to safely navigate to the bathroom. It may also include personal care assistance including feeding since she may not be able to reach her mouth with her disabled right side. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and comfortable with a small lovable dog (miniature labradoodle).
