About the job
About who needs care: Dealing with early onset dementia, has balance and some memory issues. Very pleasant and friendly. Able to feed himself, bathe himself and toilet on his own. Looking for someone to help out a couple times a day while my Mom is out of town. He needs someone to check in on him and make sure he has eaten, is doing okay and maybe do some light housework, like washing some dishes. He enjoys playing cards, watching the news and sports. About the care needs: Someone who is friendly, flexible, kind and organized. Familiar with how to engage someone with memory issues would be great. If they have similar hobbies or interests, and are willing to play cards a little bit during visit, that would be great too! Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
