About who needs care: Looking for some in home support for a parent. Family members currently caring for the parent, but some respite support and help is sought out. Patient is a very private person who is challenged with Alzheimer's and dementia. Looking for support care and company for her. About the care needs: Very kind. Calming personality. Not overly assertive, but more relaxed in interactions while still meeting goals. Able to have light conversation with patience, good listening skills. Would like some hygiene care as well. Cutting, cleaning, and shaping finger and toenails. Ensuring a healthy meal is prepared and served. Healthy cooking for diabetic foods is a plus. Gardening, puzzling, and other activities to keep her engaged. She likes to watch TV too. Especially game shows and old shows like Perry Mason. Walks, sitting outside and gardening with her would be wonderful. She used to garden a lot! So finding a special place to create and a little outdoor oasis would be wonderful. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
